(05-06-1989) Cash Box Magazine
If you never thought the day would come when Cash Box would review an album by a gay supremacy folk duo from Milwaukee, you haven't been reading lately. The Frogs maintain that all humans are born homosexual and only turn "straight" through a fluke of nature. This novel thesis motivates the savage humor and unapologetic spunk of the songwriting, which flaunts the back alley shenanigans of the cruiser community in such would-be anthems as "These Are The Finest Queen Boys (I've Ever Seen)" and "Someone's Pinning Me To The Ground." The fey, folky arrangements are pretty at times, but the graphic imagery makes this album not for the squeamish, the insecure or the humorless.
